One form, one division of your choice, four steps between the middle of September and the start of the season. No previous experience is required — what we look for is curiosity about management and the will to build something with other students.
Recruitment happens once a year, at the start of the autumn semester, and it is open to every Bocconi student regardless of programme or year. You apply to one division — Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Finance or Accounting — and, if you want, you tell us whether you would also like to work inside one of the two functional areas, Events or Content & Media.

We read every application. The interview is a conversation, not an exam: we are more interested in how you reason about a problem than in whether you already know the answer.
The process
Four steps, from the opening of the form to the answer, all inside September.
A short online form: your details, the division you are applying to, your CV in PDF and two open questions — why BSMC, and one topic in management you would want to build an event around. It takes about fifteen minutes. If you need to correct something after sending it, write to us before the window closes and we will use the latest version.
We do not wait for the window to close: every application is read as it arrives, by the Head of the division you applied to and by one Team Director. We look at motivation and fit with the division, not at your grade average. Applying early does not improve your chances, but it does mean hearing from us sooner. Shortlisted candidates receive an interview slot by email, along with anything to prepare.
Twenty to thirty minutes on campus, with two people from the division. Half of it is about you and what you want out of the year; the other half is a short case or a question to reason through out loud. There is nothing to study beforehand.
Everyone gets a reply by email, whatever the outcome. New members are then invited to the first meeting of the year, where the divisions present the season ahead and the first projects are assigned.

What we look at
Four things, in this order.
A genuine interest in how companies work and decide. It can come from a course, an internship, a podcast or an argument with a friend — the source does not matter.
Whether you can take a messy problem, break it into parts and defend a position. Getting to a wrong answer through a clear method is worth more than a lucky right one.
Being part of BSMC costs a few hours a week, more in the weeks around an event. We would rather have an honest picture of your availability than an over-promise in September.
A division works because its members are not identical. A background, a skill or an interest that nobody else brings is an argument in your favour, not a gap.
What you need
No. Most of our members join in their first or second year with no experience at all. The association exists precisely to build it — through cases, debates and events rather than through a CV line.
You apply to one, the one you are most curious about, so that the interview can go deep rather than wide. Once you are in, nothing stops you from working on a project run by another division: members move between them all the time.
Three to five hours in an ordinary week — a division meeting plus the work on whatever you have taken on. In the week of an event you organise, more. Exam sessions are respected: nobody is asked to choose between BSMC and an exam.
Write to us as soon as you know. If you are away from Milan or have an exam in those days we arrange a call — it has never been the reason an application stopped.
Our open events stay open: conferences, debates and case nights are for the whole campus, members or not. And recruitment comes round again next year, with the application you already know how to write.
