Cookies and measurement
What this site stores on your device, who sets it, and how to change your mind. The short version: nothing that identifies you, and nothing at all unless you agree to it.
Two entries in your browser's local storage, and no cookies. bsmc-lang remembers whether
you read the site in English or Italian. bsmc-consent remembers the answer you gave to the
banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Both stay on your device, are never sent anywhere, and are
technical storage: they need no consent, and clearing your browser data removes them.
We would like to know how many people read these pages and which ones they open — how many reach the
Apply page, whether anyone finds the events. That measurement is Google Analytics 4, provided by Google
Ireland Limited, and it sets cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>, kept up to two
years) that recognise a returning browser.
The script is not on the page when you arrive. It is downloaded only after you press Accept, so refusing — or simply ignoring the banner — means no request ever leaves your browser towards Google. We collect no advertising signal: the advertising categories of Google's consent mode stay denied whatever you choose, and IP addresses are truncated before storage. Google may process the data outside the European Union under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The choice is not final and costs nothing to reverse. Use the button below, or the Cookies link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent stops the measurement and deletes the cookies Google had set.
If the button does nothing, measurement is not active on this site — see the section below.
Measurement is switched on by a single setting in the site's configuration. While it is empty there is no
banner, no analytics script and no cookie of any kind — the page you are reading now describes what would
happen once it is turned on. Your browser's developer tools will confirm it either way: with measurement
off, the network panel shows no request to googletagmanager.com and the cookie list is empty.
There is nothing else. Fonts are served from this site rather than Google's CDN, so no third party sees your visit while the page loads. There are no advertising tags, no social media pixels, no embedded videos, no session recording and no A/B testing. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which logs requests — including IP addresses — for security and operational reasons, as any web server does; those logs are Vercel's and we do not have access to them.
